About The Rob Seible Singers

About three years ago, several friends who are professional singers suggested how thrilling it would be to form a new vocal ensemble in Houston. Appreciating their unique talents and eclectic musical tastes, I asked them what types of music turned them on and what would be the best way to share this passion with an audience. Their responses were as varied as they were provocative. It was through lively discussions over several months that it all became a reality.

Rob Seible, artistic director, holds a bachelor's degree in music education and a master's degree in conducting and musicology. He is currently choral director at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston. He is also choirmaster at Bering Memorial United Methodist Church. In addition, Rob also serves as adjunct faculty member for both Houston Grand Opera's High School Voice Program and Summer Vocal Camps. In the past Rob has been artistic director of the Bay Area Chorus and musical director for the Galveston Island Outdoor Musicals, adjunct faculty with TUTS/Humphrey's School of Musical Theater, and chorus master / assistant conductor for the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Houston. In the summer of 2008, Rob was touring Italy with Dr. Kimberle Moon to teach a series of vocal training masterclasses named IdeaVoce. Rob is also president of the Houston branch of www.ideanove.org, a non profit organization for the promotion of international cultural exchange programs for the arts.
